- Beside Free Edition is provided free of charge for personal and non-commercial evaluation use with single-file and text size boundaries.
- Beside Pro is a perpetual license granting activation on up to 3 personal devices owned and operated by the license purchaser.
- Thisma Labs does not store customer payment credentials; all purchases are processed securely by Gumroad.
- Software discovery is reliant on local network router multicast configuration; networks with client isolation (such as public airport Wi-Fi) will block LAN discovery by design.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Beside or any software provided by Thisma Labs ("we", "our", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the software.
2. Software License Grants
Beside Free Edition:
Thisma Labs grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use Beside Free Edition strictly in accordance with its documentation.
Beside Pro Edition:
Upon purchase of a Beside Pro license via our authorized storefront (Gumroad), Thisma Labs grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to activate Beside Pro features on up to three (3) personal devices owned and operated by you. License keys may not be redistributed, leased, or publicly shared.
3. Permitted Use & Local Network Environment
Beside is designed to operate on local area networks (LANs). You acknowledge that network hardware configurations, client isolation settings (common on public guest Wi-Fi networks), and third-party firewall rules may prevent devices from discovering or connecting to each other. Such network-level restrictions do not constitute a defect in the software.
4. Intellectual Property
Beside, its core protocol specifications, brand marks, and visual design assets are the exclusive intellectual property of Thisma Labs. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the binary distributions except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The software is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Thisma Labs does not warrant that the operation of the software will be uninterrupted or error-free.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Thisma Labs be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or files, arising out of the use or inability to use the software.
